The Friends support the activities of Trowbridge Museum, in conservation, in raising money for purchases and in educational activities. Meetings - around three of these are visits to places of historical interest in the summer, and perhaps three in the autumn/winter have lectures or speakers on topics of interest. These meetings are usually at Courtfield House, which formerly belonged to a clothier.

The garden is run and maintained by volunteers - The Friends of Trowbridge Community Sensory Garden, registered charity number 1106281. Volunteers are usually there on Tuesdays and Fridays 10.00-13.00. The Garden also features examples of sculpture, many produced by young people.

The restored old barn at The Lamb Inn, with its small stage and galleried first floor provide a meeting room, rehearsal, performances and exhibition spaces for a range of arts and music activities.
